General information only
The content of this site is patient education. It describes what produces a soft jawline, what can and cannot change it, and what treatment costs in recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
No substitute for examination
Whether treatment is appropriate for you depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: how much of the outline is bone, how much is fat, whether that fat lies above or below the muscle, what your skin can be expected to do, and how the neck is changing. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a decision made from a website alone is a decision made without information.
Results vary and are not guaranteed
Individual results differ. Healing takes months and the appearance continues to settle for longer than most people expect. No surgeon, and no website, can guarantee an outcome, and any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it.
If something is wrong after treatment
If you have had treatment and develop rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness, fever, bleeding that does not stop, a new facial droop or numbness, or difficulty breathing or swallowing, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting to be seen at a routine appointment.
